What is the Cornerstone Method?

The Cornerstone method prepares prepares participants by integrating seven senses: Sight, Sound Breath, Touch, Smell, Voice, and Joy into their pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond. Students will learn to work with all of these senses in preparation for and during the big event. These techniques are inclusive and beneficial for all pregnant people and expecting families, regardless of how and where they plan to birth.

The Senses?

Sight: Create your birth vision and map the route to its destination.

Sound:What you hear during pregnancy and birth affects the oucom

Breath:Learn to use the breath for nourishment relaxation, and pain relief

Touch:learn how to use rouch and movement to relieve pain and discomfort

Smell:simple ways to use scents and aromatherapies to aid in easing nausea, exaustion , and discomfort

voice:Speak up for your needs!Learn about how to ask questions f your care providersto get the information you need to make informed decisions

joy:find freedom and joy on your body, pregnancy, and birth experience
